For what the whole table is waiting on. Conditions on one creature go in Initiative. While a fight runs there in this browser, I'll tick these for you.

D&D Combat Timer & Effect Tracker

Stop losing track of the torch, the ritual and the reinforcements two rounds out. This free D&D 5e timer counts down whatever the whole table is waiting on. Add a name, set how many rounds or turns it runs, pick a colour, and it ticks away as the fight moves. Round timers drop once per combat round, turn timers on every turn in the initiative order, and manual entries wait for you. It syncs with the TableMimic initiative tracker, so advancing combat there counts everything down automatically. Conditions on one particular creature belong in the initiative tracker, which keeps them on the creature they affect; this is the place for what belongs to no one. Expired timers are flagged and clear in one click.

FAQ

What's the difference between counting down by round and by turn?
A round timer ticks once per full combat round, which suits most spell durations. A turn timer ticks on every turn in the initiative order, whoever is up: in a fight with five combatants it drops five times per round. Use it for what you count by turns taken, not by creature. There's also a manual mode when you want to control the countdown yourself.
Does it work together with the initiative tracker?
Yes. It syncs with the TableMimic initiative tracker, so advancing combat there counts your timers down by itself.
Where do conditions on a particular creature go?
Into the initiative tracker. It has the condition catalogue with the rules text, concentration and death saves, and it keeps every condition on the creature it affects. This page is for what belongs to no one: a torch, a ritual, reinforcements, a countdown to the blast.
