What changes inside the dashboard

The same tools behave a little differently as dashboard windows. What they can do only there, and what stays the same.

Initiative in a dashboard window is the same Initiative as on its own page. What changes is that it has neighbours. This page lists what only works when the tools run together.

Only in the dashboard

  • Show on the table from World Map. The button that sends a world map to the Table Display is only in the World Map window, not on its own page.
  • Project a dungeon and its fog of war. The Dungeon Generator sends a dungeon to the Table Display and reveals it room by room only from its dashboard window.
  • Rolls from text. A dice expression in Initiative opens and rolls in the Dice window.
  • Compendium entries as windows. Clicking an entry opens it in its own window.
  • Pings from players. When a player sends Message the DM (ping), it pops up on the dashboard with a gong, while the Table is open.
  • Quick search actions. Ctrl + K can damage, heal, add conditions, message players and more. See Quick search.

Works in the same browser

Some tools talk over a channel that connects every TableMimic tab in the same browser. These work as dashboard windows, and also as separate tabs side by side:

  • the Effect Tracker counting down with Initiative's turns and rounds,
  • the Join QR to the display button, which needs the Table running in the same browser as the display control.

Your active campaign

Tools that can attach what you saved to a campaign (Add to campaign) preselect the campaign you last opened in the dashboard and its current session. You can pick another campaign or target in the same list.

From a tool page to the dashboard

DM tools on their own page have Open DM Dashboard in the top bar. It opens the dashboard, and once you pick a campaign the tool you came from is already open in a window.

Works with

  • Player DashboardA player’s Message the DM (ping) pops up on your dashboard with a gong, as long as the Table is open there. Other players see nothing.
  • CompendiumIn the DM Dashboard, clicking a Compendium entry opens it as its own window next to the Compendium, so you can keep a monster open during the fight.
  • → DM DashboardOn a tool’s own page, Open DM Dashboard in its top bar opens the dashboard, and once you pick a campaign the tool is already open in a window.
  • AudioNew Audio tracks get the tag of the campaign active in the DM Dashboard in the same browser, and the library can filter by it.

Iniciativa v okně dashboardu je stejná Iniciativa jako na vlastní stránce. Změní se jen to, že má sousedy. Tahle stránka vypisuje, co funguje jen tehdy, když nástroje běží spolu.

Jen v dashboardu

  • Mapa světa na stůl. Tlačítko, které pošle mapu světa na displej na stůl, je jen v okně Mapy světa, ne na její stránce.
  • Promítnutí kobky a mlha války. Kobka pošle podzemí na displej na stůl a odkrývá ho místnost po místnosti jen ze svého okna v dashboardu.
  • Hody z textu. Kostkový výraz v Iniciativě se otevře a hodí v okně Kostek.
  • Záznamy Kompendia jako okna. Kliknutí na záznam ho otevře ve vlastním okně.
  • Pingy od hráčů. Když hráč pošle Zpráva pro DM (ping), vyskočí na dashboardu s gongem, pokud je otevřený Stůl.
  • Akce rychlého hledání. Ctrl + K umí zranění, léčení, stavy, zprávy hráčům a další. Viz Rychlé hledání.

Ve stejném prohlížeči

Některé nástroje spolu mluví kanálem, který spojuje všechny záložky TableMimicu ve stejném prohlížeči. Fungují jako okna dashboardu i jako samostatné záložky vedle sebe:

  • Efekty a stavy odpočítávají s tahy a koly Iniciativy,
  • tlačítko QR připojení na displej, které potřebuje Stůl spuštěný ve stejném prohlížeči jako ovládání displeje.

Tvoje aktivní kampaň

Nástroje, které umí připojit uloženou věc ke kampani (Přidat do kampaně), předvyberou kampaň, kterou máš naposledy otevřenou v dashboardu, a její aktuální sezení. Jinou kampaň nebo cíl vybereš v tomtéž seznamu.

Ze stránky nástroje do dashboardu

Nástroje DM mají na vlastní stránce v horní liště Otevřít DM dashboard. Otevře dashboard, a jakmile vybereš kampaň, nástroj, ze kterého jsi přišel, už je otevřený v okně.

Spolupracuje s

  • Hráčský dashboardHráčova Zpráva pro DM (ping) vyskočí na tvém dashboardu s gongem, pokud je v něm otevřený Stůl. Ostatní hráči nic nevidí.
  • KompendiumV DM dashboardu otevře klik na záznam Kompendia vlastní okno vedle Kompendia, takže si nestvůru necháš otevřenou celý boj.
  • → DM dashboardNa vlastní stránce nástroje otevře Otevřít DM dashboard v horní liště dashboard, a jakmile vybereš kampaň, nástroj už je otevřený v okně.
  • HudbaNové stopy v Hudbě dostanou štítek kampaně aktivní v DM dashboardu ve stejném prohlížeči a knihovna podle něj umí filtrovat.
