What is TableMimic

A connected toolkit for running tabletop RPG campaigns at a real table, in the browser, for the DM, the players and a screen in the table.

TableMimic is a connected toolkit for running tabletop RPG campaigns, bringing DM tools, player dashboards and physical table displays into one system.

It is built for the table you already play at. The paper, the minis and the dice stay where they are. The screens take over the bookkeeping: turn order, hit points, spell slots, the map under the minis, the notes from last session.

Who it is for

  • The DM gets the DM Dashboard: Initiative, the Compendium, maps, dungeons, encounters, loot and the Campaign Planner, as windows on one desktop.
  • Each player gets the Player Dashboard: a character sheet made of modules, sized for a phone or a tablet at the table.
  • Everyone at the table can look at the Table Display, a screen lying in the table that shows the map, fog of war and spell areas under the minis.

What you need

A browser. Nothing to install, on a computer, a tablet or a phone.

Every tool also works on its own page, and you can start with just one of them. An account is not needed for basic use. You need one to sync between devices, to let players join your table, and for the Table Display.

What it covers

The rules content is openly licensed fifth edition material: SRD 5.1, Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition, third-party material under the OGL and the Black Flag Reference Document. Each entry carries its own license, listed on the Licenses page. You can add your own monsters, spells and items in the Compendium.

What it is not

  • It is not a virtual tabletop for playing online. It assumes you are in the same room.
  • It does not run the game for you. Nothing happens on the players' screens or on the table until you send it.

TableMimic je propojený toolkit pro vedení stolních RPG kampaní. Spojuje nástroje pro pána jeskyně, hráčské dashboardy a obrazovku na fyzickém stole do jednoho systému.

Je postavený pro stůl, u kterého už hrajete. Papír, figurky a kostky zůstávají, kde jsou. Obrazovky převezmou účetnictví: pořadí tahů, životy, sloty kouzel, mapu pod figurkami a poznámky z minulého sezení.

Pro koho je

  • DM má DM dashboard: Iniciativu, Kompendium, mapy, kobky, střety, poklady a plánovač kampaně jako okna na jedné ploše.
  • Každý hráč má hráčský dashboard: kartu postavy poskládanou z modulů, stavěnou na telefon nebo tablet u stolu.
  • Všichni u stolu se můžou dívat na displej na stůl, obrazovku ležící ve stole, která pod figurkami ukazuje mapu, mlhu války a oblasti kouzel.

Co potřebuješ

Prohlížeč. Nic se neinstaluje, funguje to na počítači, tabletu i telefonu.

Každý nástroj funguje i na vlastní stránce a klidně můžeš začít jen s jedním. Na základní používání účet nepotřebuješ. Potřebuješ ho pro synchronizaci mezi zařízeními, pro připojení hráčů k tvému stolu a pro displej na stůl.

Co obsahuje

Pravidlový obsah je otevřeně licencovaný materiál pro pátou edici: SRD 5.1, Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition, materiály třetích stran pod OGL a Black Flag Reference Document. Každý záznam nese svou licenci, všechny jsou na stránce Licence. Vlastní nestvůry, kouzla a předměty si přidáš v Kompendiu.

Co to není

  • Není to virtuální stůl pro hraní přes internet. Počítá s tím, že sedíte ve stejné místnosti.
  • Nehraje za tebe. Na obrazovkách hráčů ani na stole se nic nestane, dokud to tam nepošleš.
